How the Gutter & Siding Studio works
Pick a house — or bring yours
Ten common American shapes are built in: ranch, colonial, Cape Cod, Craftsman, modern farmhouse, Tudor, Georgian, bungalow, split-level and raised ranch. You can also drop in a 3D model of your own house, or upload a photo. A few quick-start looks are one click away too.
Try materials, profiles and colors
Vinyl, fiber cement, engineered wood and stucco in traditional lap, Dutch lap, beaded, board & batten, shiplap, cedar shake, staggered shake, scallop shake and vertical panel — with 80+ colors, plus trim, roof, door, window style, shutters, gable accents and stone wainscot.
Create a 3D exterior concept
Mark the four corners of your front wall and choose the closest house style. The studio matches that façade to a 3D concept so you can preview colors and curb appeal from different angles. A real GLB file provides true all-angle geometry; a single photo cannot accurately reconstruct sides that are not visible.
Save, compare and send it
Pin a look to compare it against another, save designs to come back to on a different visit, download a stamped image, or send the whole design straight to our team for your free on-site estimate.
Plan your gutter and siding colors together
Blend with the fascia
Choose a gutter finish close to your fascia for a quieter roofline. Compare the trim and soffit colors in Accents before choosing a final sample.
Frame the roofline
Try charcoal, bronze or black gutters for contrast against lighter siding. Use the roofline view and lighting buttons to compare the look.
Follow the downspouts
Check the front, side and rear views. Downspouts use the same finish as the gutters in this studio; actual routing depends on your home and drainage needs.
Get the fit confirmed
Our Dayton gutter service includes 5-inch and 6-inch seamless gutters with 30+ color choices. We confirm sizing and layout on site.
Seamless gutters in Dayton · Gutter repairWhich profile fits your home?
A rough guide — the studio lets you try any profile on any house, so use this as a starting point, not a rule.
Traditional Lap & Dutch Lap
The classic American look. At home on a ranch, colonial, split-level or raised ranch.
Shiplap & Board & Batten
Clean, flat-fronted profiles that read as modern farmhouse — pair with black windows and a metal roof.
Cedar & Scallop Shake
Straight shake suits Craftsman and bungalow gables; scallop (fish-scale) shake is the Victorian and Cape Cod gable-end classic.
Smooth Stucco
The right base for a Tudor's half-timber gables or a Georgian's formal brick — or a Southwest / Mediterranean look on any style.
Gutter & Siding Studio FAQs
Is the Gutter & Siding Studio actually free to use?
Yes. Design as many looks as you want, save them, and share them — there's no account, no sign-up, and no charge. It's a free tool from Dayton Spouting & Siding LLC to help you plan before your estimate.
Do you send my photo anywhere?
No. Photo recoloring and the 3D lift both run entirely in your browser using canvas and WebGL — your photo is never uploaded to a server.
How accurate are the colors and the square-footage estimate?
Screen colors are close approximations; we bring physical manufacturer samples to your free estimate visit to confirm. Square footage for the built-in models is a planning approximation — the on-site measure is what we quote from.
Can I use a 3D model of my actual house?
Yes — drop a .glb or .gltf file (exported from SketchUp, Blender, Revit, or most home-design apps) onto the preview. Parts named siding, roof, trim, window, glass, or door pick up the matching material automatically.
Where are my saved designs stored?
In your browser's local storage, on this device only. Clearing your browser data clears them too, so download an image or copy the share link for anything you want to keep long-term.
Can I compare different roofing materials in the studio?
Yes. Try architectural shingles, standing-seam metal, cedar shake, natural slate, or composite tile, then pair each roof with your siding, trim, door, and accent colors.
What kind of photo works best for My Photo mode?
Use a well-lit, straight-on front view of your home. A clear photo with the front wall, roofline, windows, and siding visible gives you the most useful color preview and 3D exterior concept.
How do I share my finished design with Dayton Spouting & Siding LLC?
